I completed Dental School at the University of Kentucky’s College of Dentistry in 1981. I began my dental career serving in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Fort Stewart, near Savannah, Georgia. While stationed there I was able to work closely with a pediatric dentist, and enjoyed working with the children and their families so much that I applied for specialty training.
I began my training at Riley Children’s Hospital at Indiana University in Indianapolis. I received my certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters of Science in Dentistry in 1987. After my retirement from active duty at the rank of colonel in 2005, my family and I were happy to return and be settled in the greater Cincinnati area. At Children’s I have enjoyed instructing and training dentists in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry.
I enjoy all aspects of comprehensive pediatric dental care. Some of my specific interests have focused on the prevention of caries, infant care, and the use of magic tricks to entertain my patients and help reduce their anxiety during dental treatment. I look forward to providing a caring and comfortable environment as well as up to date quality dental care, and setting up a regular dental treatment program for your children. My motto as you will hear me say quite often is “keep brushing and smiling” because a smile, whether being given or received is something I find to be of great value.
